美國南部暴雨持續，在德州和奧克拉荷馬州造成至少16人死亡，40人下落不明。
德州24個縣宣布進入災難狀態，國民警衛隊出動協助救災。
在德州最大城市休士頓，當地星期一降雨量達到280毫米。惡劣天氣又摧毀超過1000間屋，至少10萬人無電力供應，當局宣布大部份學校停課一天，市區交通暫時停運，休士頓和達拉斯的機場，一百多班航機取消。
市內多條公路淹水，逾千輛汽車被淹沒，消防員利用救生艇救出5百人，市長帕克呼籲民眾留在家中。
氣象部門預測，休士頓等地區，未來幾天天氣仍然惡劣，汛情可能惡化。
